“You could say I have faith in old wood. All of my work – from designing and cutting to sanding and welding the steel – is meant to bring out a narrative in the wood that’s already there. I create floating, horizontal surfaces for books, meals, or to hold a tired body for a moment of rest. It’s a minimalist process, and it’s always amazing what you end up finding in even the dirtiest, tired out, rain-soaked board.” (via featured shop, birdloft, on the Etsy Blog)

Dear Boston- it’s freezing cold outside. But I’ve got two Boston Terriers in sweaters, so I ain’t mad at ya.
Our animals are with us for such a breif, beautiful amount of time. Their loyalty and love lifts us up, and makes us better humans. An image like this (from last night’s Presentation) made us all a little teary. And by a little, I mean a lot.
